The 15th Annual Penguin Plunge

As veteran Penguin Plunger Larry Brown says: "It doesn't get better than this." To Larry and other cold water enthusiasts "kicking of the new year" entails charging into the Atlantic Ocean in a pair of swim trunks and an apparent indifference to hypothermia. But not everybody charges. Diving, dancing, the the occasional saunter and even plodding with uncertainty is all permitted at Murray Hill Boat Launch on January 1st. And for the spectators who'd rather enjoy the dip in dry clothes, there were plenty of laughs and dry towels to greet the courageous pack of plungers who were led into Linekin Bay under the command of Police Chief Bob Hasch. Keep up the good work Penguin Plungers!
