A legend of local lore, Outer Heron Island has a reputation among natives as being one of the more mysterious of the outlying islands off of Boothbay Harbor. Currently a bird sanctuary, the island has been a host to many stories of ghosts and hidden treasure. While Leighton and Papineau are admittedly hapless adventurers, they decided in late September to go exploring. This is what happened.
